Councillor Results
In what was a first for the RPSTA, there was a tie for the final spot on the Councillor ballot between candidates Kaela-Lee KIRSCH and Jacqui WEINS. There would have been an election between these two candidates to determine who won. However, Jacqui WEINS offered to remove her name and simply continue her committee work with our organization. Jacqui’s request was accepted.
Councillors for the 2016/2017 school year were therefore:

Melissa Gerlach was acclaimed Vice-President for a two-year term
Tara Guest, Barry Houlden, and Wendy Lazarou were acclaimed Executive Members for two year terms.
One Executive position was vacant. Nominations from the floor of Assembly occurred at the June 6 meeting, and Lisa Nenson-Catley was acclaimed.
