Collective Bargaining

Provincial Bargaining

Collective bargaining is the process by which teachers and their employers address issues related to salaries, benefits and working conditions to contribute to quality education in Saskatchewan. This process is set out in Sections 234 to 269 of The Education Act, 1995.

LINC and the Local Collective Bargaining Agreement

LINC stands for the "Local Implementation Negotiation Committee." Due to the bi-level bargaining nature of the STF, we have both local and provincial contracts or "Collective Bargaining Agreements". The provincial contract is called the PCBA and the local contract is called the LCBA.  Each RPSTA teacher is affected by what is found in both contracts; We encourage you to read them closely.

You can find our current Local Collective Bargaining Agreement (LCBA) at the bottom of this page. A summary and FAQ document has also been provided and will be updated over time. The current LCBA expires June 31st, 2028.

The LINC chair can be reached at [email protected]. Please contact LINC with any questions about LINC or interpretation and application of the LCBA.

Members of the negotiation team are advised on decisions and strategies by the LINC Advisory Committee, made up of a number of teachers from our division. Members are notified when applications for LINC Advisory open - the LINC Advisory Policy is available in the Constitution and Policy section of the website.
